PostSubject: Alfred F. Jones - Gryffindor Quidditch Enthusiast~   Wed Jun 01, 2011 10:10 am

Character Name: Alfred F. Jones

Age: 17

Professor or Student: Student

Appearance:

Blood (Muggle-born, Pure-blood, Squib, Half-blood, you can also have veela blood or other such things): Half-blood

House: Gryffindor, 7th year, Quidditch Chaser

Sexuality: Bisexual, with a tendency to lean more towards men.

Personality: He’s loud, overly friendly and almost always with a bright, cheery smile. Alfred enjoys making as many friends as possible; pursuing every one he can to join his rapidly growing army of friends. He won’t take no for an answer, ever. To him, it doesn’t matter what house you’re in, having no fear of befriending those in Slytherin at all.

He’s enthusiastic with his magic, trying his hardest to become an amazing wizard, one that knows and can perform ever spell possible, but fails, due to him being rather terrible with magic. He can manage more simple spells but anything too complex will end in disaster, mostly explosions.

He enjoys playing Quidditch, having scored the position of Chaser in his third year. Despite his failings with magic he is rather skilled on a broom, zipping around on it with ease. When on one, he feels most at ease, loving the feeling of flying through the air. He takes great care of his broomstick, treating it like a pet or a loved one.

He also loves animals, having an owl as a pet. The owl is a girl and is named Snowflake, for her pure white feathers that seem to glisten in the light. Alfred takes very good care of her, always playing with her and feeding her little treats.

Background: Alfred was born to Isaac and Terra Jones. His father was Wizard while his mother was muggle. Despite his mother being a muggle she knew about magic herself, having a sister who was a witch and brother who was a wizard, though they were all born to muggle parents. So keeping magic a secret in the family was never an issue. Alfred himself inherited the ability to use magic from his father, though sadly not his skill with it.

Together they lived in a isolated wizard community in the far north of America, where Alfred befriended many other young witches and wizards, who together passed the time playing games such as Quodpot, which Alfred loved to play and was quite good at but then again, Alfred was good at most sports. But when Alfred turned eight his family suddenly moved from America to England, where everything felt odd and foreign. Quodpot wasn’t popular in Europe, instead, everyone played Quidditch, a sport that was barely popular over in America, minus a few professional teams and a small cult following it had. He was mocked for not knowing how to play it and was often excluded from games in the wizarding community his family now lived in.

So he begged his father for a broomstick and for him to teach him how to play the game, knowing his father was a fan of the game himself. Within two years he had become quite skilled at Quidditch, befriending the other children with his skills at the sport. For awhile he spent his days playing with the other kids, until the day he received a letter to attend Hogwarts. His parents were proud that he had been invited to attend the school and when the time came around, he was on the train, ready and excited for what lay ahead at that magical place.
